Perumpadappu Valiya Kinar, situated at Perumpadappu in Ponnani Taluk, is a huge laterite well related to the Perumpadappu Swaroopam. The Perumpadappu Swaroopam, later known as Kochi Rajavamsam, was a mediaeval Kingdom. The Swaroopam had its seat at Chitrakudam in the Perumpadappu village in Vanneri till the end of the 13th century. The Zamorin attacked and displaced the Perumpadappu Swaroopam in the 14th century. The Peumpadappu Kinar is believed to be part of the Perumpadappu Kovilakam. The Department declared it a protected monument in 2015.
