The old Kacheri Malika, an elegant edifice in which the Alangad Taluk Kacheri under the Travancore Kingdom once functioned, is located on the Union Christian College Campus in Aluva. The construction of this old, beautiful building is an amalgamation of Indian and European architectural traditions. From 1922 onwards, Union Christian College has been functioning in this building. It was declared protected by the Department of Archaeology in 1993.
