Two images of Nagayakshi and Nagaraja

Notification Year: 1936

The two images of Nagayakshi and Nagaraja are placed on a raised platform under the Saptaparna tree inside the heritage garden at Sakthan Thampuran Palace, Thrissur. Both Nagayakshi and Nagaraja images are capped with five hooded serpents. Two sets of ganas or dwarf figures are holding the seated pedestals. The Nagayakshi is represented in padmasana and the Nagaraja is in lalithasana postures. The images are ornate with kundala, hara, kirita, nupura and udarabanda. The images are placed on a granite platform.
