The Krishnavilasam Palace was built by King SreeMoolamThirunal of Travancore in 1885. It is situated between the Nityachelavu Bungalow and the Ananthavilasam Palace. The palace was designed by integrating the traditional and western styles of architecture. The arched windows and fluted square pillars are the peculiar features of this mansion. The windows are very high and broad. The pilasters of this two-storied edifice have ornate capitals. Every structural element is heavily influenced by Western architectural styles.
