Village: Mylam

Taluk: Kottarakkara

GPS Coordinates:

Notification Year: 2023

The Kottathala Kalithattu stands on the roadside, in the courtyard of the Janatha Library, in front of the Kottathala Thanneerpanthal Devi temple, Mylam, Kollam. Built in a rectangular shape, the base of the structure is entirely made of granite. The four pillars that support the roof and the architraves that connect them to each other are made of granite.
The tiled roof is Sthupika-shaped and integrated into a single point. On one of the granite pillars, a figure in royal attire and a Ganesha can be seen, facing each other. Similarly, on the other pillar, a female figure standing and seated Mahalakshmi facing each other is carved. Adjacent to this Kalithattu, we can see a well and a stone trough for filling water.
