The Jewish Cemetery, surrounded by compound walls on all four sides, lies in an open space near Jew Street and Broadway, Ernakulam. The plot measures approximately 2 acres and lies 500 metres south of the Kadavumbhagam Synagogue. A few tombs and mortal remains are still surviving in this cemetery. This is better known as the Malabari Jewish Cemetery. The legacy of the Jews of Kerala, who are down to a handful at present, with most of them having migrated to Israel, survives through the Jewish monuments scattered at various places, mostly in central Kerala.
