The Heritage Museum has been envisaged by the Department of Archaeology as a place to preserve the rich and diverse heritage of Idukki for future generations. Here, you can see the story of Idukki from ancient to modern times. Historical remains, including those collected from the district with public participation, are arranged in ten galleries here. The model of Idukki Dam, Moolamattam Powerhouse, etc., its construction history, old pictures, the story and way of life of Idukki ruled by many dynasties, etc. can be seen in 'Idukki in History'.
