Notification Year: 2015

The fort at Banthadukka is one of the chains of forts built by Viswappa Nayaka of Ikkeri. This fort, made entirely of laterite stones, spreading over a vast area. But the fort is now in complete ruins. Only one round bastion and the remains of a moat exist now. At the south of the bastion, the Banthadukka Higher Secondary School is now functioning.
