Arakkal Kottaram, popularly known as Arakkal Kettu, is a building complex consisting of residential buildings, mosques, administrative blocks, trade centres, etc. owned by the Arakkal family, the only Muslim Royal Family in Kerala. There are two mosques, one gateway with an imposing bell tower and some residential buildings in the precincts. The double-storeyed traditional style administrative block in the complex, constructed during the eighteenth century, was scientifically conserved by the Department of Archaeology. A museum of antiquities is also arranged in the building, which is owned by the family and managed by the family trust.
