Annamalanatharu Temple

Notification Year: 1965

Annamalanatharu Temple Karikode, Thodupuzha, is a granite temple probably pertained to the 10th century C.E. The rectangular garbhagriha has a rectangular veranda in front of it. The roof of the garbhagriha and the veranda are covered with granite slabs. These granite slabs of the veranda, supported by ornate granite pillars, have exquisite carvings. Forty-two antique objects had been kept in the temple including bronze and stone sculptures and utensils made of copper and bronze, were acquired and housed in various archaeological museums under the Department of Archaeology.
