Notification Year: 2005

The Military Barracks, popularly known as Nissen Huts, are located just north of the Ambalavayal Heritage Museum. Only two structures are remaining now. The Nissen huts were made from a sheet of corrugated iron bent into half a cylinder and planted on a plinth made of granite stones. The walls were made of burned bricks and plastered with cement mortar. The structures have wooden doors and windows. The orientation of these structures is southwest.
