The Bhajanappura Malika, a single storey building situated between the Ananthavilasam Palace and Ananthasayanam Bungalow, faces east inside the Fort Area. This malika was built by Uthram Thirunal Maharaja in 1834. This simple, traditional building was constructed mainly for prayer and meditation. The square-shaped open veranda with a half wall is attached to the oblong main structure.
